Can a daily dose of Omega 3 oils
save your life?

Or will it just give you flatulence?

Will taking fish oil make you smarter than Paris Hilton ... or poison you with mercury?

Do Omega 3’s help prevent depression … or just make you poorer?

This site provides facts - not spin

You’re been trying to get information about Omega 3 but all you’re finding is websites that give you manufacturers monkey spank double-speak. Well not here.

Here you will find out what the research is really showing – both the benefits and the side effects, and those cases where it is proven to have no effect at all. Here you will even find the details of the sources so you can go and check yourself.

This site weeds the good science from the … less good science

Not all scientific studies are created equal. The ones sponsored by the drug companies done on a handful of people just can’t give you the confidence provided by a series of nice large double blind randomized controlled trials. I will tell you what is established fact, what is fringe and where the controversies are.

This site makes the research easy to understand (and use)

Have you been to the Wikipedia entry on Omega 3 yet? Did you like the bit about “…synthesis of the longer n−3 fatty acids from linolenic acid within the body is competitively slowed by the n−6 analogues”. Ouch!

What they are trying to say is that Omega 6’s (eg oils found in nuts and meat) to some extent stop Omega 3’s (in this case from flax oil) from benefitting the body.

That’s what this site is all about. Wading through lots of published research, boiling it down and summing it up.

If you want to find out about me and my masochistic interest in Omega 3 then go here, otherwise I suggest you start with What is Omega 3 or the Omega 3 benefits. If you don’t find what you are looking for please contact me and tell me what’s missing.

Have fun!
